Terms of Service

Summary: Use Grg AI responsibly. Don't abuse the service. Code you generate is yours. We're not responsible for bugs in AI-generated code.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Grg AI ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including guest users and registered account holders.

2. Description of Service

Grg AI is a self-hosted AI programming assistant that helps users write, debug, explain, and optimize code. The Service is provided by Monescu Teodor as a personal project. It includes:

AI-powered code generation and explanation
Real-time web search for programming questions
Code preview and execution features
Optional account system with conversation history sync

3. Accounts

Guest access: You may use up to 3 messages without creating an account. Guest conversations are not saved.

Registered accounts: You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 6 characters. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

One account per person. Do not share your account or create multiple accounts to bypass limits.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Grg AI only for lawful purposes. You may not:

Use the Service to generate malicious code, malware, ransomware, or exploits
Attempt to overload, disrupt, or attack the Service (DDoS, spam)
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI model
Use automated scripts to make excessive API requests
Use the Service to generate content that promotes violence, illegal activity, or harassment
Impersonate another person or entity
Attempt to access other users' data

5. AI-Generated Content

No warranty of correctness. Code and responses generated by Grg AI are provided "as-is." AI models can make mistakes, generate incorrect code, or provide outdated information. Always review and test AI-generated code before using it in production.

Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for any code you use, deploy, or distribute that was generated with Grg AI's assistance.

Ownership. Code generated in response to your prompts belongs to you. You are free to use it for any purpose, commercial or otherwise.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you consent to the collection and processing of your email address and conversation history as described therein.

Guest users: no personal data is collected. Only a message counter is stored locally in your browser.

7. Availability

Grg AI is a personal project provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee:

100% uptime or availability
Specific response times or performance
Uninterrupted access to conversation history

We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Romanian and EU law, Monescu Teodor shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:

Use of or inability to use the Service
Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
Data loss due to service interruptions
Security breaches beyond our reasonable control

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For significant changes, we will notify registered users via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings. Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania and applicable EU regulations, including GDPR. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Brașov, Romania.
